Community sector workers are performing critical work in the face of a challenge unlike any we’ve seen before. Keeping the workforce safe and as intact as possible is paramount. DHHS, FSV and WorkSafe have been issuing a series of guidelines for OHS and industrial responses to COVID-19. The ASU is feeding into these processes.

These guidelines are the foundation of what will be a constantly moving picture.  The ASU is in constant contact with DHHS and the state government about amendments to these policies as the situation changes.

The ASU recommends members check these to see whether your workplace is complying with these funding body expectations. Please contact the ASU office with any queries or concerns in the event of breaches of these guidelines. We strongly recommend that members also talk to delegates, elected workplace health and safety reps and other workers, we are stronger dealing with issues together.
