Hydro Tasmania is the latest employer to announce an organisational restructure.
After an active ASU Delegate contacted the ASU concerned by reports of a restructure, the union made contact with Hydro Tasmania. We reminded management of the obligation to consult with employees consistent with the Hydro Tasmania enterprise agreement.
Hydro Tasmania advised that it believes the current structure does not best support the strategic growth of the organisation.
The ASU will be closely monitoring any potential changes resulting from the proposed organisational restructure. And we’ll make sure Hydro Tasmania consults with employees and the union before any definite decision is made.
We have reminded members that they are entitled to have union representation at any consultation or one-on-one meetings.
The ASU is committed to providing members with workplace information and individual support. And as Hydro Tasmania works through the restructure, the ASU will be there to support members.
