It’s nearly here! The voting period for your Enterprise Agreement (EA) runs from Monday 4 – Wednesday 6 October 2021.

ASU representatives urge all employees to vote NO, every vote matters.

It’s really important you take the time to vote and select NO. It’s also critical to talk to staff about it. Every single vote is important, and we can’t turn this around without at least 50% of votes against the offer.

Why Vote No
Whilst we have agreement on some ASU claims, Council is putting a not-agreed EA out to a vote. It doesn’t meet the standards members consistently voted for in our meetings. This is your EA. It’s important to get a big turnout from staff to vote, vote NO and keep bargaining for an agreeable outcome.

Reasons to vote NO in this ballot:

  • No movement on the pay offer – despite a very conservative 3% counter-offer being put by ASU members, council have rejected it.
  • Their offer is 1.5%, with an extra 0.3% if we reduce WorkCover claims by 27% over the 4-year agreement, an unachievable and unfair KPI.

If we win the No Vote…
We need to continue bargaining in good faith – this doesn’t mean starting from scratch. We’re confident members would likely accept an offer with improved wage increase, recognising your hard work and showing you’re valued!

How to Vote
All employees are eligible to vote. You will receive voting instructions and access code via mail or email. If you or someone else you know haven’t received voting instructions by Friday 1 October 2021, please contact HRSupport@hume.vic.gov.au
