The ASU has been in touch with delegates and management to get feedback on how Council are managing their centres in this difficult time and measures put in place to mitigate the risk of infection to staff and children.

Hume City Council has informed us that they have implemented safe work practices and that centres remain open despite the lack of Government funding and financial impacts they are experiencing.

The ASU will be holding a meeting via Microsoft Teams to hear how members are feeling. This meeting will also be for members to share any concerns or issues they may have and for the ASU to update members on the current funding state in Local Government Children’s Services.

DATE: Thursday 28 May
TIME: 7.30pm – 8.15pm

Non-members are also welcomed to join in the meeting.
