Virtual Climate Change Rally - 1pm AEST Thursday 21 October
Together, with activists from the union movement around Australia, we’ll hear from workers, climate change experts and movement leaders about the next steps in our campaign for a safe climate with secure union jobs.
We’ll talk about why the upcoming COP26 in Glasgow is crucial to Australia’s, and the world’s, action plan against climate change.
Australia can’t show up empty-handed.
We need an ambitious climate plan that: supports workers and industries as we move to net zero emissions, embraces Australia’s opportunity to create 395,000 clean export jobs and includes targets to reduce pollution and decarbonise our economy.
The human cost of inaction on climate change and its impact on workers is growing daily; there’s no time to lose.

"Seeing family overseas get COVID-19 and not having access to vaccinations made me realise how lucky and privileged we are to have a free vaccine given to us to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
I went and got my Astra Zeneca vaccine a few weeks ago when we went back into restrictions and COVID-19 was still a real and present threat to the health of our community. Protecting my family, my friends and my community was important to me and I believe it is our responsibility to do everything we can to protect our community."
