After resuming negotiations on 25 July, HBCC management asked the Unions to provide a counteroffer to the last EBA that had been voted down. To ensure we accurately represented your views, your Organiser and Delegates arranged meetings in person and online to ask what you would accept.

As a result of this, the following position was put back to HBCC management:

  • 2% salary increase to be paid as a flat $ amount (roughly $1,400pa), back paid to 1 July 2019
  • 2% salary increase to be paid as a flat $ amount (roughly $1,428pa), back paid to 1 July 2020
  • All other items previously agreed to during negotiations

We now await Council’s executive management team discussing this proposal and providing a response. We will keep members up to date on the matter.

If you are working with or near any working for Victoria employees, remind them to join the union as they are getting paid off your EBA rates!
