The ASU will be visiting Hepburn Shire Council this week.

DATE: Thursday 27 May
TIME: 11:30am – 1 pm
VENUE: Duke Street Service Centre – Meeting Room (capacity is 7 so drop-ins welcome)

With enterprise bargaining at Hepburn Shire to commence soon, the first step is to identify ASU members interested in becoming workplace delegates. An organiser will be onsite to discuss any matters members wish to raise.

If you know of someone who would like to attend, please forward them this invitation.

We encourage anybody who is not yet a union member to consider the benefits of ASU membership and to join the ASU

What do delegates do?
ASU Delegates are the essential link between ASU members at each workplace and the broader union. Effective delegates can identify issues and provide information to officials of our union and make sure that members’ rights and conditions are protected.

Delegates can provide representation, support and advice to members as well as build the union by providing information and raising awareness of union issues with staff. An ASU Delegate is someone who is your representative and is elected by you.

If you are interested in learning more about the role of the delegate click here and come meet your organiser at the meeting Thursday.
