ASU members have contacted the Union over the last few weeks raising concerns about health and safety. The ASU has prepared a short survey regarding health and safety to better understand and identify these health and safety issues: City of Melbourne (CoM) Health and Safety Survey (surveymonkey.com)

We will use the data from this survey to write to Council and where required Worksafe, to identify areas of concern. You have a right to a safe workplace, and this includes good ventilation and air flow to address airborne risks like COVID-19!

We encourage you to fill out the survey and share with your colleagues, including non-members.

We also encourage you to raise these issues with your staff Health and Safety Representative who are regularly raising these issues with management.

All staff meetings update

We understand that some of the all staff meetings ended up being identified as exposure sites. More and up to date information about this can be found on the CoM intranet. If you are concerned that you were exposed to COVID-19 at this event or through other work duties, you may be eligible for workers compensation. The ASU can assist you with this application. Please contact the member contact centre for more information on 1300 855 570.
