The ASU understands that members at Hobart Community Legal Service want to bargain for an enterprise agreement. We are keen to get these negotiations off the ground and get to bargaining; but we need your help.

As you would know, Daniel Chan was your ASU Delegate and he has recently resigned his employment with HCLS. If we are to begin bargaining for an enterprise agreement we ideally need to replace your delegate. It is for this reason that we call for nominations to fill the position as an ASU Delegate. We encourage you to speak with other members at your workplace to encourage your preferred colleague to become your delegate.

We provide full training for our delegates and would encourage the successful candidate to undertake the first three day course which we are set to hold on 15, 16 and 17 October this year.

If you would like to nominate a member to fill this position, or you would like to be considered for this position yourself, please let ASU Organiser Aaron De La Torre know via the contact details below. Nominations close 4pm on Monday 12 August 2019.

Once a delegate is elected we can begin to process of notifying your employer of your preference to begin bargaining for an enterprise agreement and start the process of bargaining for specific terms.
