ASU members have been raising some concerns regarding being approached by HCC management in the HACC/DCW area.

If approached, HACC/DCW’s members should not agree to any requests to sign any letters/new contracts specifically if you are been asked to reduce your present contracted hours.

The effects of reducing your present contracted hours will affect and reduce all your current leave entitlements including personal/carers, annual and long service leave.

So, don’t agree to any changes.

Where gaps exceed 90mins on your roster, HACC/DCW’s are paid $20 as this is identified as a split shift as per EBA LAWA Clause S1.4 and Clause S1.4.2. Travel

If HACC/DCW’s prefer to take any leave entitlements during this pandemic they may request to do so, it is your choice, not managements.

Please circulate this newsletter to all other staff members and put on your notice boards and in your lunchrooms and encourage non-members to join their union.
