ASU members have called for a further public meeting to show their anger and frustration at the City of Greater Geelong’s failure to address issues affecting them at work.

We are starting to see some improvements but now is not the time to take a backwards step, we need to keep the pressure on. A strong turn-out will show how much staff care about improving the standards of your workplace!

DATE: Tuesday 30 July
TIME: 5:30 pm
VENUE: City Hall, Geelong
(If it’s raining we may go to Trades Hall)

Light BBQ food will be provided

The issues executive management needs to address include:

  • Bullying and cultural problems
  • Job insecurity / use of labour hire & 12-month contracts
  • Idle plant

This is also a chance for members to raise the things you feel strongest about, and get them on the agenda when we’re arguing for a better workplace at CoGG!

The ASU will continue to push CoGG executive management to address these concerns. We are starting to see some improvements but now is not the time to take a backwards step, we need to keep the pressure on. A strong turn-out will show how much staff care about improving the standards of your workplace!
