ASU members are directed to attend Stop Work meetings on Tuesday 15 December at 9am. This meeting will be held on the Council Chambers Lawns, Main Rd, Glenorchy.

The Stoppage is for a period of up to thirty (30) minutes. For members who have a regular break and attend during this time, the stoppage of work may be less.

ASU members are taking action to encourage Council to present a fair and reasonable offer.

Council recently wrote to the ASU suggesting the ASU are not bargaining in good faith. You can view the ASUโ€™s response here.

The ASU is also directing members to enact additional work bans. These bans will commence from Tuesday 15 December and be in addition to the previously advised action. These actions favour the community and are designed to apply pressure on Council. These actions will run indefinitely until an acceptable offer is put on the table. You can view a current list of actions here.

Remember an employer cannot discipline or discriminate against an employee who undertakes protected industrial action. For more information click here.

We understand for some this will be concerning but we strongly encourage all members to attend in the pursuit of a fair offer through Enterprise Bargaining.
