Last Tuesday the ASU and AMNF met Council management representatives for a briefing about the decision of Councillors to sell the three Residential Aged Care facilities (Spurway/Rosstown/Wirrawee).

We will provide further advice this week about ASU membership meetings and that the ASU will advise of the details of these union meetings, across each of the three sites, once arrangements have been confirmed with management.

The ASU has declared an amnesty so that residential services employees can join the ASU and received a full service if they do before the 22 February.

Join the union before Friday the 22nd of February, 2019 and the ‘Joining -in-Dispute’ policy will be waived and you will be eligible for full union service in relation to matters arising out of the recent Council decision including direct assistance, advice and support from ASU delegates and ASU union officials.

It’s easy to join the ASU online or you can print-off a membership form and hand-deliver it to Branch Organiser David Nunns by calling mobile 0418 856 495 to make suitable arrangements.

If you wish to discuss this matter please contact ASU Branch Organiser David Nunns on mobile 0418 856 495 or the ASU Contact Centre on 1300 855 570.
