Bargaining at Gippsland Water has commenced, and management has put an offer to the ASU.

We now have the option of either accepting a 1-year ‘rollover’ on the Agreement with a 2.5% pay increase or continuing to bargain around our log of claims.

If we accept the 2.5% ‘rollover’ it will mean we will be back to negotiations early next year.

However, if we do continue to bargain for a longer agreement The Victorian Government Wages Policy requires that the employer reduce the wages offer to 2% p/a over four years.

So now it’s over to you.

The ASU is conducting a poll of members at Westernport Water to determine which way to go on this offer. Vote below to tell us which path you prefer:

  1. Accept the 2.5% rollover now or;
  2. Continue to bargain around the log of claims
