The ASU is supporting the breakfast, film, and march for IWD at Geelong Trades Hall this year, which will be held on Saturday 6 March starting at 9am, brought to you by the Geelong Women’s Unionist Network (GWUN).

The film, ‘Women Of Steel’, set in Wollongong in 1980, is a documentary about working and migrant women who refused to accept discrimination when denied work at the steelworks. Filmmaker Robyne Murphy will join us for a Q and A.

ASU hero and GWUN co-convenor, Adele Welsh, will join other inspiring speakers on topical matters of the day before we march on LNP Senator Sarah Henderson’s office.

We have booked a tabled for ASU members and hope you can join us.
