It is time to celebrate the work of ASU Delegates and members in delivering good pay outcomes for all employees at the City of Whittlesea.

On the first full pay period on or after July 1 2020, full-time employees will get a $35 a week increase, and part-time will receive pro rata of this to their pay packets! This also will include a 2.19% increase to all allowances in SCHEDULE 2 EBA.

Unionised workforces receive higher wage outcomes and entitlements than those that are not unionised.

ASU Delegates and members have advocated and achieved better conditions and entitlements for all Whittlesea Local Government employees including a good pay increase.

More members lead to more effective negotiations and improved outcomes for everyone. Union members hear an alternative perspective to their employer’s views and gain a broader industry perspective on their wages and conditions. Ultimately it takes a union majority in the workplace to vote no to an agreement and prevent erosion of conditions.
