The Fair Work Commission recently announced the outcome of the annual wage review.

From 1 July this year, there’ll be a 1.75% increase to minimum award rates for workers covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award.

So if you are paid on the minimum award rates, your salary will increase by 1.75% on 1 July this year.

But we know social and community services workers deserve more.

This increase is simply not enough to compensate for the essential work that community sector workers like you do and to cover the ever-increasing cost of living.

To make it easy for you to check your next pay slip to see if you are being paid properly, we have put together pay tables for workers on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award.

The Morrison and Andrews government needs to make sure the 1 July wage increase is fully funded.

Our union has written to federal and state governments asking for increased funding to agencies that they fund to cover the additional cost of the 1.75% increase.

Simply, you shouldn’t have to worry about your employer being able to afford to pay you a wage increase that the Morrison Government’s commission has ordered.
