You’re invited to attend one of 4 meetings to discuss the ASU Essential Not Expendable campaign.

Insecure employment, including fixed-term and casual employment, is now rife across the not-for-profit community services sector – especially for new starters or those moving between employers. ASU Members at Uniting have identified job security as a serious issue for them, with short-term contracts a common feature of working life there.

ASU members are fighting to make employment conditions in the community services sector more secure.

ASU members in the sector are calling on the Andrews state government to work with the ASU to implement the following reforms:

  1. Secure Employment
  2. Workplace Fairness
  3. Longer Funding Terms
  4. Sector Sustainability and Reform
