Carers Victoria has commenced the process to bargain for a new enterprise agreement.

Enterprise agreements are where the majority of above Award entitlements come from and are a great opportunity for you to have input into your workplace conditions and wages.

ASU delegates Beena Christian, Ruthi Hambling and Melissa Bezzina, with support from an ASU organiser, will represent you during these important negotiations.

Your delegates held an all-staff information session recently on the process of negotiations and shortly members will start the process of formulating a log of claims, which represents what ASU members want from your enterprise agreement.

There will be a member’s meeting on 21 April 2021 where you will be able to have input into the issues that matter most to you. This meeting will be held online, and an invite will be sent out shortly.

The ASU bargaining team has committed to providing a log of claims on 3 May 2021. To meet this deadline, we are seeking your input through a workplace survey. Successful bargaining depends on the growth, unity and activity of members. This survey a way to get a more comprehensive understanding of member expectations.

You can complete the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/F2XZ93M

If any of your colleagues are not already members of our union, let them know that now is a great time to join so they can be part of the negotiating process to collectively improve employee’s wages and conditions. The more members we have, the greater our power at the negotiating table!

It’s easy for anyone to join online at www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
