Please be advised of the following important matters:
NEGOTIATIONS ON WAGES & CONDITIONS
The existing EA will expire on 30 June, 2019 and negotiations between management and the ASU will start in the first week of February next year.
ASU Organiser David Nunns will be holding a number of meetings in January/February to consult on issues arising under the existing EA and the prospective ‘Log of Claims’. Please feel free to contact ASU Organiser David on mobile 0418 856 495 to arrange a local meeting with members in your work area/department.
The ASU calls for nominations from the membership to be an ‘ASU Delegate’ (especially in those areas without direct ASU representation) and to actively participate in the negotiations on YOUR wages and YOUR conditions. If you wish to nominate to be an ASU Delegate please call David Nunns on 0418 856 495 and register your interest ASAP. ASU delegates take a lead role in determining the bargaining outcomes for your workforce. Make your ASU membership count and nominate an ASU delegate for your workforce today.
Please note that nominations can also be provided directly to an ASU Delegate as per the following:
- Maureen Bryant (295 aka IBIS Building/Home Care Department)
- Rob Hands (295 aka IBIS Building)
- Mark Evans (Notting Hill Depot)
- Lilian O’Connor (Monash Libraries)
- Patricia O’Donohue (Home Care Department)
Please feel free to contact the ASU Delegates during normal working hours to discuss the above matters and please note that an ASU Delegates Meeting was held on Tuesday of this week to discuss next year’s negotiations and the development of the ‘Enterprise Agreement 2019 ASU Log of Claims’.
Also, feel free to distribute this newsletter on noticeboards, pigeon holes, lunch rooms, etc. as emails are only one particular way to communicate with the ASU Membership at large.
