We have the voting timeframe for the Protected Action Ballot!

Ballot dates are: Monday 11 July at 12 Midday to 25 July at 12 Midday.

The Ballot will be electronic- you will receive an email ‘Ballot open Vote Now’ which will contain voting instructions.

We encourage you to VOTE YES in favor of industrial actions.

We need 50% plus 1 of eligible voters to return a vote AND;

50% plus 1 of those who voted to VOTE YES for the industrial action to be approved.

Remember we may or may not perform all the actions on the list, it will depend on how ERL responds.

We are doing this because members have indicated that they aren’t happy with the wages offer which is a far cry from cost-of-living and inflation pressures.

Conditions that are also critical such as;

  • Minimum engagement for story time and casuals
  • Minimum numbers to open branches

The EBA vote is commencing the following week on the 18th of July.  Therefore, it’s best to get the protected action ballot done in the first week so there is no confusion about VOTING YES for industrial action and VOTING NO for the Enterprise Agreement.

You will receive reminders and your delegates Sue, Robin, Steph and Amy will be more than happy to assist you!

We also have had member Paul Croft nominate to be an ASU delegate!  Please provide any objections or support for this nomination by emailing ASU Organiser Lorraine by close of business Thursday 14th July.

We are stronger together!
