Thank you to the members who participated in our survey where we sought feedback to the grouping of actions.  On Friday we provided ERL with notification to commence the below actions.

Please note we are required to provide 3 clear days to the employer therefore we will commence this action on THURSDAY 4 AUGUST;

  • Interrupting or stopping work to remove name badges
  • Interrupting or stopping work to attach EBA campaign material and/or badges to clothes or to put on clothes that are union related.
  • An indefinite or periodic ban on performing work in clothes that do not have EBA campaign material and/or badges attached or clothes that are not union related.
  • Interrupting or stopping work to place EBA campaign material in or on the books on the hold shelf.
  • Interrupting or stopping work to attach union flyers to walls, shelves, windows and in areas normally used for library signage.
  • Interrupting or stopping work to add the EBA campaign message “Workers at Eastern Regional Libraries are fighting to improve their pay and conditions, but we don’t feel like we’re being taken seriously.  If you wish to voice your support, send an email to CEO Joseph Cullen at cullen@erl.vic.gov.auand ask him to support his vital library workers” to email signatures

We will be dropping off Badges and Posters on Wednesday ready for staff to commence the action on Thursday.
