On Wednesday 28 April your ASU bargaining representatives met with EGSC management to continue negotiations for your new enterprise agreement.
At the meeting, EGSC revealed that they will not guarantee that you will not have a reduction to any conditions and entitlements as a result of a new enterprise agreement.
They also admitted to a service review being undertaken for Community Laws, which included “looking into their hours and days of work.”
Your bargaining representatives are very concerned about what may come from this service review and where these reviews will stop.
Other outcomes from the meetings were:
- ASU Delegate Mick Jakins spoke on the claim for the introduction of a High Risk and First Aid Allowance for outdoor members and management have advised they will take this on notice and get back to us.
- An in-principle agreement to 50% reimbursement of all prescription glasses if they are damaged in the course of your work and a 100% reimbursement for PPE prescription glasses (up to $500)
- They have now withdrawn their claim and will no longer pursue changing Caravan Park members conditions.
- A commitment to address all ASU claims in writing by the next meeting
