On Sunday the Premier announced further easing restrictions applying from 11:59pm 22 November 2020.

The main takeaways for ASU local government members are below:

Some council services will open up further, with public access numbers increasing – for leisure, libraries, museums, etc.

Please see more info here for sections relevant to you – part 5 covers Leisure and other settings. Part 4 covers Community facilities, including libraries and toy libraries or see below for patron limits:

  • Indoor: Cap of 150 patrons with density quotient. Group limit of 20 patrons.
  • Outdoor: Cap of 300 patrons with density quotient. Group limit of 50 patrons.

Mask wearing rules have changed for outdoors. If you work outside then the instructions on wearing masks have now changed. As of 11:59pm 22 November 2020 you don’t have to wear a mask all the time. You do need to carry one. For revised risk assessment information, handy WorkSafe links and more info on your rights click here.

Return to work for office workers: the instructions remain that if you can work from home, you must work from home. Up to 25% of office-based staff may be returned to the office from 30 November.

Standard workplace requirements including density limits continue to apply. Businesses with fewer than 40 staff can have 10 staff on-site subject to density quotients.

Unless you’re one of those people nominated by your employer – you need to keep working from home. In all this change – Consultation is Key! For revised risk assessment information, handy WorkSafe links and more info on your rights click here.
