The ASU attended the Fair Work Commission of Thursday 9 May 9 to seek a decision around the dispute relating to Clause 49 – Public Holidays; in the Community Health Centre (Stand Alone Services) Social and Community Service Employees Multi Enterprise Agreement 2013-2015.

Fair Work Commission Deputy President Masson found in favour of EACH, that the current clause does not specifically or clearly state an entitlement for TIL for Easter Saturday.

He has put two proposals to the ASU:

  1. Accept the reversal of the TIL for Easter Saturday for 2019 or
  2. Seek a formal Fair Work Commission determination of the matter.

This is an unfortunate outcome and the ASU wishes to consult with members about these options before responding to Deputy President Masson by Friday 17 May.

ASU members are invited to a union meeting to discuss these proposals.

Two meeting times will be available for members to attend. The ASU is seeking confirmation from EACH for members to attend in paid time. This is yet to be confirmed.

DATE:  Tuesday 14 May
TIME:  2pm or 4pm
VENUE: Manvantara, Warrandyte Rd, Ringwood

Members can also phone into one of the meetings if they choose.

Please confirm your attendance (or that you will phone in) and your preferred meeting time to:
