The Australian Services union has members in diverse industries: united for a stronger voice for workers.
We have used this strong united voice in bargaining for the next enterprises agreement at Brighton Council.
The ASU has been bargaining with Brighton Council management and Employee Bargaining Representatives for a number of months now in the interests of securing a new enterprise agreement to cover their employees.
Through the active negotiations by the ASU we have been able to achieve the vast majority of the claims.
Many of the changes already approved significant improve to the employees’ working conditions at Brighton Council.
This is core business for the ASU as we work to protect, promote and improve the working conditions and entitlements of members.
We are awaiting responses on the last couple of items and then we will be in a position to table the offer to members and put it out to vote. At this stage we are hopeful of an agreement that we can support and recommend a yes vote for.
