Two months ago the ASU wrote to Maree Lang (Managing Director) in relation to a raft of significant and serious work-related issues that directly affect workers at GWW.

The letter dated 11 August 2021 can be found here.

Since that correspondence, and apart from acknowledging receipt of the letter, the ASU have heard nothing back from the Managing Director. As a result, the ASU sent a follow-up letter this week.

The letter dated 12 October 2021 can be found here.

We think it is unacceptable for a letter of such importance to sit in an inbox for two months without a response or arrangements being made for a meeting with the union.

What would happen to you if you sat on a serious matter, that affects hundreds of people, for two months without any action from yourself?

More than likely your employer would have a crack at you and raise performance issues with you. Maybe even put you on a Performance Improvement Plan?

This is simply not good enough and the ASU has asked for a response to be provided no later than COB on Friday 15 October 2021.

Please forward this email to your workmates and colleagues so that they know what is going on at GWW and ask them to consider joining the ASU via https://www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
