Enterprise Bargaining Update
Yesterday, ASU officials Aaron and Samantha visited DVC workgroups to discuss the start of bargaining for a new enterprise agreement for all employees.
Our draft log of claims was circulated and discussed with members in attendance and we are now in the process of finalising our claims for distribution at the start of bargaining.
We understand that the Notice of Employee Representational Rights, which signifies the start of bargaining, is due to be sent to all employees by the employer during the beginning of October and bargaining to start shortly thereafter.
If any member of the ASU wants to be involved in bargaining for the new EA, please let us know so that we can have you there as an ASU representative. No member should sign anything that appoints them as an Employee Bargaining Representative (or EBR) as this removes the ASU as your representative during bargaining.
New Delegates Elected
Members at the depot and childcare have appointed new delegates, in addition to existing delegates in place at Council.
We welcome our new delegates and invite you to congratulate them on their appointment to the role.
Our delegates at Derwent Valley Council now include:
Depot Workgroup – Alex Clarke and Charles Crosswell
Indoor Workgroup – Jess Dallas
