We are calling on all Maribyrnong staff to join us at the meeting outside Council this evening.
Your councillors will decide on whether to sub-contract care today.
Show your Councillors you care about direct employment!
Older people who use council aged care services really value the support that allows them to stay in their own home.
Why put good services that serve the community well and have high customer service satisfaction ratings at risk? Dedicated council aged care workers rely on secure jobs to pay their bills each week.
Outsourcing always leads to services cuts, price hikes and job losses.
Community members and Council employees will be meeting outside Council offices in advance of the Council meetings at Hobsons Bay and Maribyrnong today. Please join us to let Council know the community cares.
These are public meetings and employees have a right to attend.
- Maribyrnong Council -outside rear of Footscray Town Hall – 5.45pm – Tuesday 19 February
- Hobsons Bay Council – outside Hobson’s Bay Council – 6.15pm –Tuesday the 19 February
Council aged care is an essential service and council owes it to older people and their families to deliver it.
