Following the well-attended, loud and proud stop-work on 15 June, members resolved the following:

– to reject council’s offer (including a harsh attempt to freeze all allowances, except mileage for 3 years)

– to keep fighting for better outcomes in pay and key clauses!

This was off the back of members identifying key priorities amongst unresolved ASU claims which have been clearly communicated to council’s bargaining group.

In line with the above, the ASU bargaining group has notified council of another stop work for this Thursday July 6 to keep momentum going! You may receive a call from one of the delegates about this.

In meantime you can read the notification here.

The notice contains all the relevant stop work start and end times for work groups across council. Many of you will also have a planned lunch break next to this time you can use.

We will be back in touch with more details following a planning meeting with your trusty delegates later today!
