On Wednesday 17 May, Council formally wrote to the ASU to outline proposed changes regarding the Introduction to Change Out of School Care Program, Changes to Rosters or Hours of Work and Vacant Position Management.
On Tuesday 23 May, Council provided us with a list of disestablished positions as they agreed to provide.
We met with Library members on 24 May where they raised concerns regarding the proposed changes to rosters and hours of work and vacant position management. We also heard from other members separately who also outlined concerns to us.
We wrote to Council on 31 May to express our members’ concerns, provide alternative solutions and asked for some further information/clarification to be provided.
Once Council has responded to our letter, we will provide you with a further update and meeting if necessary.
We are here to support members through this process and will keep you informed and updated once we have met with Council.
By encouraging your workmates to join the ASU we will have a stronger voice for workers at Darebin City Council. It is easy for anyone who is not yet a member to join online at www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
