ASU community sector members have been providing vital services to Victorians as we continue to experience the COVID-19 pandemic.  In many instances this has meant that you have been potentially exposed to COVID-19 and have been required to isolate.  Most employers have required community sector workers to take your own personal or annual leave to isolate.

This is just not fair.

The ASU have pushed the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing to implement an isolation leave procedure that would mean that community sector worker required to isolate due to a potential COVID-19 exposure at work would not have to use your own leave.

You can see the procedure here

Simply put, if you are told to isolate due to a potential COVID-19 exposure at work please get in touch with the ASU member contact centre at info@asuvictas.com.au or with you ASU organiser and we can raise the matter with DFH who in turn will raise it with your employer.
