Glen Eira City Council are holding a special meeting to have a final vote on whether or not they will close their early learning centres. There will be a BBQ sizzle and then we will walk together to the council chambers in solidarity.

We will see the labour hire loophole closed, wage theft made illegal and safter workplaces for everyone.
A significant part of the Closing Loopholes bill was passed this week.

I was a union member for 13 years. I raised an issue over 3 years ago yet nothing has come from it. I call that theft
Members have been fighting for a better NDIS that works for everyone and there are some wins in today's report. In addition to portable training and leave, our calls to the Government for pricing and payments that reflect the true cost of delivery and investment in mental health and psychosocial supports have also been heard.
