Bargaining resumed in February after a break over December and January.

The number of clauses under negotiation changes weekly with some we saw as close to finalised last year still under negotiation. While this is frustrating, each negotiation concludes with positive outcomes for members.

After meeting on the 22 February, small elements of Supervision, Annual close down, study leave and working from home clauses remained in dispute.

Pandemic and vaccination leave remain contentious as do elements of change to the hours of work clause the employers are seeking.

There has been no improved pay offer since our last communication so it remains at 2.5 % on approval, 2% on the 1 July 22,  2% 1 July 23, 2% 1 July 24, over a 4 years agreement. We have rejected this offer as insufficient.

Recently we agreed on an improved Delegates Rights, improved fixed-term limitations, a secure work statement, improvements to your dispute resolution clause and broadened the definition of immediate family. The employer’s long service leave proposal is positive, but we are yet to see a clause. Take this link for more detail and register for the meeting on Wednesday 2 March.
