Late last week, Whittlesea management told your delegates that they think the EA is now FINAL. Management will give you a week to read it, starting in a few days. And then, you vote.
You vote on a deal that leaves you way behind inflation & the cost of living.
You vote on a deal with no 35-hour week for band 3s.
You vote on a deal that leaves “secondary” parents a full 10 weeks behind “primary” parents in terms of parental leave.
You vote on a deal that rejects 50+ of your claims for improved working conditions.
And all of this from a council with a $128 million operative surplus, in this year’s budget.
But it’s not over until we say it’s over.
We’ll be meeting this Wednesday to talk about:
- What you think of this deal.
- How you can contribute to a campaign to vote NO to this deal.
- How your industrial action can force City of Whittlesea back to the bargaining table.
