Recently, the ASU and delegates have become aware of a discrepancy in the payment of Saturday work. We understand that council are only applying the penalty rate clause to part time staff, not full-time staff who are getting paid the overtime provision instead.
The ASU have investigated this issue and would like to report back to members. Following two member meetings last week and delegate feedback, we have been instructed by members to pursue council implementing the 9am-2pm penalty rate model that was agreed to in bargaining for all library staff.
