City of Melbourne management has recently released their updated Schedule A Remuneration Policy. This policy was the outcome of the 2021 enterprise agreement negotiations where CoM committed to introduce a policy to give Schedule A employees access to pay increments.

The revised version policy provides much greater clarity than the previous version released late last year. However, we are concerned that the policy may provide very limited access to pay increments, with only those receiving 4’s and 5’s in their GPA to have access to pay increments. For context, those workers employed on Schedule AA receive pay increments if they receive a 3 in their annual GPA.

The ASU has been invited to provide feedback on the policy at a meeting on April 7. In preparation for this, we want to hear from members about what you think about the proposed policy.

Next Tuesday, we will be holding a member meeting to discuss the proposed policy and get your feedback. We encourage you to come along and bring non-members. This is an important policy that will determine how hundreds of workers are paid.
