OSC Members who are taking up the secondment with DHHS
The ASU has requested further information, including the letter of offer, for any Staff members who are taking up the option of secondment with DHHS from the City of Melbourne.
It is important to remember that your industrial matters are still covered by the ASU during this period of secondment.
Important information for those on payroll deduction
For those staff transferring to DHHS, you will need to transfer paying your Union fees to either direct debit or Credit Card. Attached is a transfer form for you to complete or you can contact the ASU directly at email@example.com to complete the transfer over.
If the fortnightly wages at DHHS are less than you would have received working at the City of Melbourne, CoM will top up the difference in wages.
Any leave entitlements that you accrue on secondment can be accessed whilst you are with DHHS
If you do not access those Leave entitlements, they will be transferred back to you at CoM when the secondment ends.
The ASU and your Delegates will continue to meet regularly with Council on these matters.
We still have a long way to go over the next few weeks, so speak to your ASU Delegates and encourage non-members to join the ASU which is fighting hard for everyone.
Please circulate this newsletter to all other staff members and put on your notice boards and in your lunchrooms and encourage non-members to join their union.
The ASU, as always, is BY YOUR SIDE
