Carlton Early Learning and Family Services Centre

The ASU met with concerned members last week and will be writing to the CEO of the City of Melbourne to raise those concerns in regard to the future services at the New Carlton Early Learning and Family Services Centre.

Some of those concerns are:

  • Lack of consultation with impacted members
  • What is going to happen to the existing roles at the Centre?
  • Are members going to transfer across to the new centre?

Council have commenced advertising the Notice of Proposed Sub-Lease of the premises to Lady Gowrie Child Centre (Melbourne) Inc. (the preferred provider) for the purpose of management and operation of early education and care.

The ASU also will be raising concerns about the new preferred provider.
