The ASU has now met with CoL to further discuss YOUR Enterprise Agreement.

CoL provided details of their revised pay offer, however, they still refuse to incorporate a CPI safety net to ensure that YOUR wages don’t go BACKWARDS! CPI is currently 3%

Many Tasmanian Councils have a CPI safety net incorporated into their EA including Hobart, Clarence, Derwent Valley, Southern Midlands, and West Tamar.

All of these Councils face similar financial challenges to CoL however they recognise the importance of a CPI Safety Net.

Furthermore, CoL is still not willing to even discuss providing the CoL workforce with an EA provision that ensures Consultation in regards to Major Workplace Change occurs BEFORE a Definite Decision.
OR protecting YOUR Superannuation
OR offering a Nine Day fortnight to ALL CoL workers.

The ASU will be holding member meetings across CoL to discuss the revised offer with members over the coming days. More information on dates, times and locations will be coming soon.
