CoL has now provided a very disappointing response to the ASU’s reasonable counter proposal

CoL said NO to the inclusion of a reasonable annual 3.5% cap on a CPI safety net as part of YOUR salary and wages provision.

It has just been announced that Hobart CPI for the year ending December 2021 increased by 4.5%, yet CoL think that your 2021/2022 increase should be 2.25%, this is HALF the current CPI figure!

CoL said NO to increases to the legislated minimum Superannuation Guarantee Contribution flowing on to increase YOUR current superannuation rates.

CoL said NO to the option of a 9 day fortnight for all City of Launceston employees, claiming that is due to the difficulties in maintaining a level of service that it would present.

CoL advised that they are STILL considering their position regarding inclusion in the EA of consultation with the workforce prior to a definite decision.

What is there to consider?? Genuine consultation should be afforded to all workers!

The ASU is awaiting details iabour when YOUR EA will be voted on, we will keep you updated..
