The extra annual leave entitlement has been extended to 14 March.

ASU members are reminded about the looming deadline for the extra annual leave entitlement.

To qualify for the additional Annual Leave, the employee must meet one of the below criteria:

(a) Annual Leave balance as at the qualifying date each year that does not exceed the equivalent of 4 weeks leave;
(b) Annual Leave Balance as at the qualifying date each year that does not exceed the equivalent of 6 weeks leave provided the employee has a leave management plan in place which contains at least 2 weeks of approved annual leave booked during the next calendar year.
For the purposes of this provision, the qualifying dates for the life of the Agreement are set out below:

(c) In year one of the Agreement the qualifying date will be 28 February 2022.
(d) In year two of the Agreement the qualifying date will be 1 December 2022.
(e) In year three of the Agreement the qualifying date will be 1 December 2023. Annual Leave Loading (Clause 6.2.7) does not apply to the additional days of annual leave granted under this Schedule.

This means an extra 9 days annual leave if you qualify over the three year agreement.
