You should by now have received a copy of a proposed 1-year EBA rollover, along with a guide explaining how the proposed leave management clause would be implemented.

Over the past 6 months, ASU representatives have met weekly with management to ensure ASU members are at the forefront of decision making around this proposal. We have held rounds of online meetings with members and canvassed your views via SMS.

From your feedback, the ASU has continued to negotiate improvements into this proposal, such as:

  • $25pw pay increase (benefiting low paid staff who need it most)
  • Earlier implementation of pay increase (1/12/2020 not 1/01/2021)
  • Re-written leave management clause and guide to put the needs and health of employees first when reducing excessive leave accruals
  • Ensuring the temporary leave management clause is reviewed next year

The salary increase on offer compares favourably for most ASU members to EBAs being negotiated at other Victorian councils.

Your Union reps have worked to improve the offer, now it’s your chance to have your say by voting to accept or reject the proposal.
