Following on from member meetings your ASU bargaining representatives again met with CoGB management to continue negotiations for a new Enterprise Agreement.

At the meeting, your representatives advised management that members overwhelmingly voted to reject the dismal wage offer of 1.2% as well any changes to the Flex Leave clause.

The ASU spoke at length again on your claims and advised CoGB that we are some way off from reaching an acceptable agreement, in particular with the proposed changes to the Flex Leave clause.

Other outcomes from the meetings were:

  • The wages offer by CoGB increased to 1.8% or $28 per week, whichever is greater.
  • After your feedback, the CoGB claim to increase the ordinary hours to 6am – 10pm has been withdrawn
  • Agreement for up to 1 days funeral leave to be provided to Aged Care workers
  • A commitment to provide ASU with suggested clauses for your consideration by next meeting (21 October)
