You are invited to an ASU Membership Meeting for Home Support Staff next week;
DATE: Wednesday 27 February
TIME: 6pm – 7pm
VENUE: Office of Lisa Chesters MP (corner of Williamson and Myers Street Bendigo)
As you are no doubt aware, ASU aged care members across Victoria are resolving to fight to keep home care in Council. ASU organisers have been and will continue to meet with aged care members as a matter of priority to discuss our campaign.
The good news is that we are learning every day that most Councils are locking in to remain the deliverers of aged care until 2020, however this does not decrease the urgency of our campaign. We know that we have only a few short months to make sure that the community, Councillors and our Members of Parliament understand what the loss of Local Government Community Care really means to you, your families and those you care for.
WHAT DO WE WANT?
We want our Local, State and Federal representatives to recognise that your jobs and the high value care you deliver is at risk and that the cost of this loss will be borne by us all.
We will be out talking to the community again soon. If you would like to join us please RSVP to the above event on 1300 855 570 or via firstname.lastname@example.org
