Members would be aware that voting for the Protected Action Ballot has opened and will close on Wednesday 18 March 2020.
It is vitally important to our negotiating position that members complete and return their ballot paper to the Australian Electoral Commission. We need every member to cast their ballot to increase pressure on management to come back with a reasonable offer.
Please ensure that you complete each and every one of the ballot questions. It should take you only a couple of minutes to complete the ballot paper. At least 50% of those balloted must be returned to the AEC for the ballot to succeed.
If you have not received a ballot paper you will need to contact the Australian Electoral Commission directly, the ASU cannot do this on your behalf. The ballot is conducted by matching a list of members provided by the ASU with a list of those who will be covered by the agreement from your employer. Your employer is not provided with a list of members.
If you have not received a ballot paper as of yet then please contact ARC returning officer Robert Zammit on (03) 9285 7138.
Remember Vote Yes to all ballot questions, so we can supply the strongest pressure to get a fair deal done.
