This is your opportunity to ask questions and clarify prior to Council’s intention to take the offer to a vote from 19 November.
As is always the case in enterprise bargaining, the ASU bargaining team has put its best negotiating foot forward to represent ASU members.
If you want more information about the 26 ASU member claims that were presented and Council’s resulting offers, you can view the ASU Log of Claims Tracker here.
Council also came to the bargaining table seeking to update to the clauses listed below. You can view the proposed changes to these clauses which are highlighted in the attached draft Central Highlands Agreement 2020 document:
7.18. PERFORMANCE AND SALARY REVIEW
5.1. TIME OFF IN LIEU (TOIL)
In response to the ASU’s claim to increase the Objectionable/Adverse Conditions Allowances and build it into base salary (which was not accepted in full), Council is also proposing changes to the following clause:
7.12. OBJECTIONABLE / ADVERSE CONDITIONS ALLOWANCE
We encourage all members to carefully read the attached Enterprise Agreement, Memo and ASU Claims Tracker to assess these claims independently before voting.
