Bargaining has concluded. The offer was accepted by a majority of workers. The ASU has raised serious concerns about hours of work and pay. We are more committed than ever to representing members. Whichever way you voted we are by your side.
There is a lot to do to make sure that members get the best they can from this Agreement. The ASU is arranging meetings in July so we can represent your interests as soon as issues and questions arise.
This has been a tough battle during Covid. We went to Fair Work to keep bargaining going. The vote was split. Fair Work will review the Agreement and the ASU as a party to the legal document will respond to any questions from the Commissioner on your behalf.
It’s more important now that we unite and stand together.
The ASU is committed to representing members in health and safety, classification, work from home requests – any issue that is a term of the Agreement. As always if you need support during any process let us know and we will have your back.
The ASU is a registered union so we have the right to lodge disputes in the Commission. If we cannot resolve an issue at the workplace then we will appeal to Fair Work.
There’s never been a more important time to be a member and to ask your workmates to join the ASU today via https://www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
