Burnie City Council has proposed a 0% wage increase for all employees for 2020/2021 and to also suspend Enterprise Agreement negotiations until early 2021.

This wage freeze (for those covered by the Enterprise Agreement) will ‘save’ BCC just $258,000.

If the wage freeze was to progress, based on the current Wage Price Index (2.2%) you will see a loss in your yearly wage of at least $1300 (or considerably more depending on your annual salary).

It is really important that the ASU receives your feedback regarding this proposal.
