The Brotherhood of St Laurence has commenced the process to bargain for a new Enterprise Agreement, and the ASU will be meeting with Management bargaining representatives soon.

Despite the Brotherhood of St Lawrence only beginning the bargaining process on Monday 16 May 2022, Management has advised the ASU of their intention to finalise the Enterprise Agreement by the end of the financial year.

This is an extremely short timeframe which typically is in the best interest of the employer, not the worker. However, in good faith, the ASU will attempt to expedite the process as best we can while still ensuring we are liaising with members.

The ASU has surveyed all ASU members to identify the main issues and what members want changed in this Enterprise Agreement. The ASU has put together a draft Log of Claims based on the member survey which we will use as a guide during negotiations.

The ASU is now asking for members to endorse the draft as our official ASU Log of Claims for the current round of bargaining.

The ASU will be holding a series of meetings this week to give members an opportunity to provide feedback and endorse the Log of Claims. You can view the Log of Claims here.
